A Delhi court on Friday sought a reply from the police on a criminal complaint against Bollywood stars Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan and the Colors channel after the two actors were allegedly shown wearing shoes on the set of a Kali temple.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate VK Gautam asked Delhi Police to file an action taken report on the complaint filed by Gaurav Gulati - who sought action against the two actors on charges of hurting religious feelings.
The matter has been listed for further hearing on 12 February.
The lawyer told the court that he noticed the two actors wearing shoes on the sets of a temple - set up for a promotional shoot for Bigg Boss Nau. Gulati noticed the shoes while watching a YouTube video on 15 December, 2015. An idol of goddess Kali was seen in the backdrop, he said.
The plea also sought action against the producer and director of the reality show and the TV channel.
