Bajrangi Bhaijaan's world television premiere to challenge PK and Chennai Express

Get ready for the world television premiere of 2015's biggest blockbuster till date, Bajrangi Bhaijaan , on 11 October, 2015, on Star Gold and Star Gold HD, at 12.30 pm.

Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan , which was an Eid release, went on to become the second film after PK to make an entry into the Rs 300 crore club in India. The Kabir Khan directorial venture was hugely applauded by the audience and the film is currently in contention for India's official entry to the Oscars.

Star Network acquired the satellite rights of the film as a part of their Rs 500 crore deal with Salman Khan and has given Sunday's prime slot to the film, is all set to challenge the television ratings of films like 3 Idiots, Dabangg, Bodyguard, Chennai Express and Singham , which garnered great ratings upon their premiere.

The Rs 500 crore deal

Salman Khan has signed an exclusive deal with Star Network worth Rs 500 crore. As a part of the contract, the satellite rights of all films starring the actor will be with Star Network, irrespective of who is the producer of the film. The tenure of the deal is five years, starting from 2012 and the rate to acquire a film is Rs 50 crore.
