In a bizzare incident, a woman reportedly slashed her husband's fingers with a kitchen knife for allegedly checking her phone in Bengaluru, on 4 May. Additionally, both have filed complaints against each other at a local police station.

The duo, identified as Sunitha Singh and Chandraprakash Singh, is reportedly from Bihar and has been married for the last seven years.

In his complaint, Chandraprakash accused his wife of being extremely addicted to her mobile phone. An India Today report added that the police have asked the parents to intervene and help sort out their differences.

The daily quoted a Bengaluru police official as saying, "There are severe injury marks on Chandraprakash's right hand fingers. We have registered a case and a probe is on. Both husband and wife have lodged complaints against each other and we are questioning them about the incident."

Chandraprakash has also reportedly asked for round-the-clock protection from his wife.
