
On 30 August, the Chinese Embassy in Kyrgyzstan's capital city Bishkek was hit by a suicide car bombing, leaving atleast one person dead, and several others injured.
"The exact number is being verified," Interfax cited the ministry's representative as saying.
The Chinese Embassy, located in the southern part of Bishkek, was hit by a powerful explosion as a car loaded with explosives rammed into its gates, and went up in flames, reports RT.com. Police personnel and ambulances have been dispatched to take stock of the situation, and determine the number of casualties.
According to RT.com the Emergency Response headquarters have confirmed that at least one person has lost their life in the attack.
Three others, including two staff members of the embassy have sustained injuries from shrapnel, according to medics.
