When Anu Malik slapped himself after hearing Neha Kakkar’s voice in Indian Idol audition [WATCH]

Neha Kakkar is one of the finest singers in the Bollywood industry. Her journey from rags to riches is inspirational for many. However, it was not easy for her to become the top singer in the entertainment industry. Neha Kakkar who is currently Indian Idol’s judge was also one of the contestants of the Indian Idol 2.

However, she couldn’t win the show at that time. Recently, an old video from the audition round of Indian Idol is going viral on social media. In the video, Anu Malik can be seen unhappy with the performance of Neha Kakkar during the Indian Idol auditions- Piano round.

Neha’s performance was also judged by two other judges—Sonu Nigam and Farah Khan Kunder.

Know what Anu Malik said after watching the performance of Neha Kakkar:

In the throwback video, Neha is seen singing the song Aisa Lagta Hai from Refugee film with a co-contestant. As her performance ended, music composer Anu Malik expressed his displeasure and said that he feels like slapping himself after watching her performance.

He even slapped himself to demonstrate his anguish. Aisa Lagta hai was featured on Kareena Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan and it was sung by Sonu Nigam and composed by Anu Malik.

After Neha Kakkar’s performance, Anu Mali said, “Neha Kakkar... Teri awaaz sun kar lagta hai main apne mooh par maaroon thappad, yaar! Kya ho gaya hai tere ko (I feel like slapping myself after hearing you sing. What happened to you)?”

Neha left shocked after listening to such comments from Anu Malik.
