Kapil Sharma along with the filmmaker duo Abbas Mustan is on a promotional spree for his upcoming Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon. While talking about the film and various other things at a press conference held in Delhi, Sharma even mentioned PM Narendra Modi.
When asked about inviting Modi to his TV show Comedy Nights With Kapil, the actor stated that he has been wanting to do a show with him since long. However, things got delayed and nothing could really come out of it.

However, he put a rest to all the rumours that he has already shot an episode of Comedy Nights with Kapil with the prime minister. Here's what he said:
"I invited Modi ji way back before the elections (2014 Lok Sabha elections), but since there are some protocols to be followed during the time of elections, he couldn't come on the show. I am definitely looking forward to meet him again and now whenever I meet him, I am going to invite him again to my show."
Explaining the reason he wants the Indian Prime Minister to grace his show, he added:
"I really want him to talk about the struggle that he has gone through in life. It would be very inspirational for the viewers watching their leader talk about his own life story on the show."
