Here are 5 times when Television didn't hesitate to produce mega budget shows like 'Mahabharata'

It's not only Hindi cinema that make high budget projects, but there are a few Hindi Television shows also that were produced with mega budget. The producers of these shows surely didn't leave any stone unturned in making their shows magnum opus and invested great amount of money to make their idea grand on the small screen.

These shows attract the section of audience that consume shows that look great on screen following which such shows emerge as TRPs chart toppers.

While there are more mythological shows in the list, but a few web series and finite TV series have also been listed in the list of the most expensive shows:

1. Yudhh

The show was produced by Anurag Kashayp and actor Amitabh Bachchan played the lead role. According to reports, Big B supposedly made a cost of 3 Crore per episode. 

2. Devon Ke Dev Mahadev

The great mythological show Devon Ke Dev Mahadev starred Mohit Raina, Mouni Roy and Sonarika Bhadoria in the lead roles. It was believed that the leading actors of the show were paid 14 Lakh Rupees per episode.

3. Warrior High

Warrior High is a web series that telecasts on Voot. It is said to be the most expensive youth drama ever made in the history of Television and web series.  

4. Mahabharat

The great mythological show Mahabharat left no stone unturned in being grand in all ways possible. The producers had invested 100 crores in the show and the great success of the show made this paisa vasool investment for producers.  

5. Jodha Akbar

We were not surprised to know that Ekta Kapoor invested her entire strength, power and money in this show. However, the cost of her magnum opus hasn't been revealed but it is believed that it was one of the most expensive ventures of Television of all times.

And you thought only films have mega budgets!
