Xiaomi to launch a new Mi product today; hints at 4K smart TV

After creating a buzz for almost a month now, Xiaomi is all set to launch its much-anticipated product today. Speculations are that the Chinese technology giant would launch Mi 5 smartphones. Teasers however, reveal a different story.

What could be launched?

The teasers on Xiaomi's Twitter handle hint towards a 'new Mi product' that has 'build quality that's top of its range'. The tweet further says that the new product is coming on 16 July.

Another tweet hints at the design of the product and mentions it as something 'redesigned from head to tail'.

The image in the tweets do not resemble the classic-look of a smartphone. The sharp edges of the product indicate at company's newest venture in the smart television market.

The teasers suggest a smart LED TV, which is expected to come with a 4K UHD resolution and an accompanying set-top-box.
