Tata Tiago set for launch on 28 March

Speed News Desk | Updated on: 14 February 2017, 5:55 IST

Tata Motors' latest hatchback Tiago is all set to hit the showrooms in India on 28 March.

Termed "heavily engineered" by experts, the latest hatchback will target the entry-level segment of the category, which is currently dominated by Maruti Suzuki's Alto, WagaonR, and Celerio models.

In its category, Tiago fits in between Nano and Bolt. It will be available in diesel and petrol engines and the bold design, bumpers, and body chrome make for impressive exteriors.

The Indian automobile maker has already displayed the car at the Indian Auto Expo 2016 and Geneva Motor Show.

The hatchback will share its basic features and mechanics with its sedan category sibling Kite 5.

The car will come with a large cabin space, factory-fitted eight-speaker ConnectNext system, turn-by-turn navigation app, cooled glove box and many new features.

Dealers have started taking bookings for the car.
