Kirthiga Reddy, head of Facebook India, steps down to relocate to the US

Facebook India head Kirthiga Reddy announced in a Facebook post late on 12 February that she will be relocating to the US, stepping down from her post in India, in the process. The announcement comes within days of Facebook's closing the controversial 'Free Basics' programme in India.

Telecom regulator TRAI had barred telecom operators from charging discriminatory rates for internet access based on content.
