Google just snapped up this Delhi student with a whopping salary offer of Rs 1.27 crore

Meet Chetan Kakkar, a fourth year Delhi Technological University student who took just grabbed an annual package of $1,90,000 (Rs 1.27 crore approximately) from Google.

Kakkar is an alumnus of Springdales, Pusa Road, The Times of India reports. He is a final year student of the Delhi Technological University's information technology department. Kakkar will head to the Google headquarters in California after he completes his studies in 2016.

"This is was what I had been striving for so far. I am excited to join Google," said Kakkar.

According to TOI, Kakkar's parents are teachers at Delhi University. Rita Kakkar is in the faculty of chemistry department while his father Subhash Kakkar is a teacher of management studies.

The highest salary offer made so far in the DTU campus is that of Rs 93 lakh.

This is not the first time that Google has offered such an enormous salary package to a student. In 2014, the technology giant made an offer of Rs 1.7 crore to a 21-year-old B Tech student from IIT-Indore.
