Backdoor allows pirates to secretly upload pornographic content on YouTube

YouTube is the most popular online destination to watch and share videos.

However, hidden beneath all those cat and dogs videos, carpool karaokes and prank videos, is a mammoth reservoir of pornographic content.

YouTube has strict guidelines prohibiting publishing porn and any pirated content. But as per a report by TorrentFreak, many uploaders are exploiting a loophole to avoid detection.

"By uploading a video without publicly publishing it, adult sites are able to host it on Google's servers and embed direct links to it on their own sites," says a Mirror.com report.

The report further adds that the videos are not directly listed on YouTube but are saved on GoogleVideo.com domain server.

These videos also bypass a system called ContentID which allows copyright owners to report pirated content to YouTube administrators.

"There is a big loophole on YouTube. Copyright infringers take advantage of a private-video-share setting. They upload and store videos, and freely use them on third party websites to earn profits," explained Dreamroom, a California-based porn producer that spoke to TorrentFreak.
