Netizens are praising Shreyas Iyer for grabbing the sensational catch to dismiss Australia opener Usman Khawaja in the final session on Day 2 of the Delhi Test. Right-handed batter showcased his incredible sharp reflexes and plucked the catch out of thin air to give India their first wicket.
It happened in the sixth over of Australia's second innings when Khawaja tried to paddle-sweep Ravindra Jadeja’s ball in his first over. The Aussie batter succeeded to connect the ball perfectly with his bat but forget to spot Iyer’s position at leg-gully.
As soon as the ball flew off Khawaja's bat, Iyer ducked for cover but in the process put both his hands over his right shoulder and the ball somehow stuck to his hands. He then acrobatically rolled over and landed on his shoulder.
Talking about the match, Australia ended Day 2 at 61/1, taking a 62-run lead over India. the ‘Men in Blue’ managed to score 262 before bundling out in the final session. Off-spinner Nathan Lyon took the limelight by bowling out Indian batting line-up. India currently lead the 4-Test series 1-0.
