Noise Pollution! Frightened buffalo collides with biker, watch here

In India, we don't pay much attention to noise pollution, specially from vehicles, and its impact on us and animals. A viral video has clearly demonstrated how a loud noise can irritate animals.

In the 30 seconds clip, a buffalo and its owner can be seen walking on the street when a bike, with a noisy silencer, coming from the opposite side tries to pass by the cattle. The buffalo got startled by the bike’s noise and collides with the vehicle. The biker falls and becomes unconscious after the collision. The noise was so loud that it could be heard in the video clip even before the bike arrived.

The video was shared by Telangana Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) VC Sajjanar on his Twitter handle. Highlighting the impact of noise pollution on animals, the officer wrote, "This is an example of the damage caused by noise pollution." Driving with honking, silencer and change causes stress, high BP, deafness and cardiovascular diseases. #RoadSafety.” Officer Sajjanar is a 1996 Batch IPS Officer of Telangana Cadre.
