Vikram's action entertainer Garuda to go on floors this April

Tamil superstar Vikram and director Thiru will begin work on their next film, Garuda, from 1 April. The film, which stars Kajal Aggarwal and Karunas, will feature Bollywood director-turned-actor Mahesh Manjrekar playing the antagonist. Garuda also stars veteran actor Nassar.

Garuda is touted to be an action-packed entertainer. The makers have roped in renowned stunt director Anal Arasu to choreograph the stunts of the film. The film will also see the Kollywood debut of music composer Girinandh, while the cinematography will be handled by Richard R Nathan.

The team of the film, which is being produced under the banner of Silverline Film factory, organised a formal launch with a pooja in Chennai last week.

Meanwhile Vikram's upcoming film Iru Murugan is slated to release on Eid 2016. The film will reportedly feature the superstar in a double role. The Anand Shankar directed science fiction thriller stars Nayantara and Nithya Menon.
