Vijay 61 : Details of Ilayathalapathy's triple role in Atlee film revealed

The shooting of Ilayathalapathy Vijay's upcoming film is currently progressing at a brisk speed in Tamil Nadu. Tentatively titled Vijay 61, the action-entertainer is the 100th film of Thenandal Films. The film marks the collaboration of Vijay and director Atlee after the 2016 blockbuster Theri. Vijay 61 stars Kajal Aggarwal, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Nithya Menen in female lead roles.

Earlier there were reports that Vijay will be doing triple roles in the film. Now another interesting update about the roles have been revealed.

Reportedly, Vijay's triple role in the film is said to have Hindu, Muslim and Christian characters; Maruthu, Salim and Joseph. The names of three leading heroines' have been named as Mary, Benazir and Saraswathy.

For one of the roles out of the three roles, Vijay will be seen as a villager of 80s and Nithya will be seen as his love interest. Vijay will be seen as a guy from the US in his second role. The actor is reportedly doing training to shed a few kilos to fit the character. The portions for this role will apparently be filmed in US soon. The details of his third role are yet-to-be-revealed.

The music of the film has been composed by Oscar winning composer AR Rahman, and the story is written by KV Vijayendra Prasad of Baahubali and Bajrangi Bhaijaan fame.
