Vijay 60 to get all-time highest overseas distribution price for an Ilayathalapathy starrer

The title of Vijay's 60th film is yet-to-be-announced, but the film is already making waves in the trade circles, thanks to the super stardom of Ilayathalapathy Vijay. The Tamil superstar, who recently scored big by delivering the biggest blockbuster of 2016, Theri, is all set to repeat the same with the 60th film of his career which is being referred to as Vijay 60.

According to the latest report, the pre-release talks for Ilayathalapathy's Vijay 60 have already been initiated by a renowned overseas distributor. A top overseas distributor has reportedly approached producer B Bharathi to get the film rights in advance for a whopping Rs 22 crore.

The overseas distribution rights of his Theri were sold for Rs 14 crore.

The news came as a huge surprise within the entire Tamil industry as the makers of Vijay 60 had only completed the second schedule of the film. With this film, Ilayathalapathy is expected to surpass the pre-release businesses of many big films.
