Vijay 60 : Ilayathalapathy film gets new release date

After a short vacation with his family, Tamil superstar Vijay is back in Chennai to resume the shooting of his upcoming film, Vijay 60. Touted as a family entertainer, Vijay 60 is directed by Bharathan, who penned the script of Vijay's 2004 hit film Ghilli. He has earlier directed Vijay in his first dual role movie Azhagiya Tamil Magan.

Earlier, Catch had reported that Vijay's 60th film is all set to release during Diwali 2016. But now it has been confirmed that makers had decided to postpone the film to 2017. And as per reports, Bharathan is planning to complete the entire shoot of Vijay 60 by September and post production works by December to release the film during Pongal 2017.

Meanwhile, Vijay's previous film, Theri will be completing 100 days of theatrical run on 22 July 2016. Interestingly, the much-awaited Rajinikanth starrer Kabali is arriving on same day.
