Velaiilla Pattadhari 2 : Kajol to portray negative role in Dhanush film
It's widely known that Bollywood actress Kajol will be making her Kollywood comeback in Rajinikanth daughter Soundarya's Velaiilla Pattadhari 2. The sequel to 2014 blockbuster stars Soundarya's brother-in-law and national-award winning actor Dhanush in the lead role. Jointly produced by Dhanush and the Kabali maker, Kalaipuli S Thanu, the film also marks the second directorial outing of Soundarya Rajinikanth after Kochadaiiyan.
Velaiilla Pattadhari 2 will see Kajol returning to the Tamil industry after a gap of 20-years. Kajol's previous Tamil film was in the 1997 Rajiv Menon film, Minsara Kanavu. The film also marks the DDLJ actress in a negative role after her award-winning performance in the 1997 Bollywood blockbuster Gupt.
Velaiilla Pattadhari 2 also stars Saranya, Amala Paul and Samuthirakani. The music has been composed by Sean Roldan.
