Telugu Box Office: Janatha Garage is a superhit, average response to Vikram's Inkokkadu

Last weekend saw the release of two major films at the Telugu Box Office -- Inkokkadu, the Telugu dubbed version of Vikram's Tamil film, Iru Mugan, and Nara Rohit Naga Shaurya starrer Jyo Achyutananda. However, it was Koratala Siva's multistarrer Janatha Garage that continued its dominance at the Box Office even during its second weekend.

Mohanlal, Jr NTR starrer Janatha Garage has emerged as a super hit at the Telugu Box Office. The film, which had released on 1 September to a very good response, remained unaffected by the release of two films including the Vikram starrer Inkokkadu. The film was rocksteady on its second weekend and overpowered the collections of new releases at the Telugu Box Office, which is excellent considering that the film has crossed the Rs 100 crore mark worldwide within six days of its theatrical release.

Vikram's Inkokkadu opened to an average response at Telugu Box Office. Unlike its original version, Iru Mugan, which opened to a Rs 20 crore plus opening weekend, the Telugu dubbed version struggled to repeat the same magic at the Tollywood Box Office. Though the film has been praised for the National award winner's terrific performance, the film was met with criticism for its predictable second half and poor music.

The second release of the week, Jyo Achyutananda, too had a similar opening response at the Telugu Box Office. The Srinivas Avasarala directorial has opened to an average response at A, B and C centres. However, the film, which has been produced by Sai Korrapati at a medium budget, will eventually become a success at the Telugu Box Office.
