Suriya's 24 is the only South Indian film in IMDB's Top 10 Indian films list

Tamil superstar Suriya starrer 24 has been selected in the leading movie-aggregator website, 'Internet Movie Data Base (IMDB) Top 10 Indian Films 2016' list. Directed and written by Vikram Kumar and produced by Suriya, under his home banner, 2D Entertainment, the film went on to become third biggest Tamil grosser of the year after Rajinikanth's Kabali and Ilayathalapathy Vijay's Theri.

Interestingly, 24 is the only South Indian film which has featured in the top 10 list and is placed at the 8th position. The film starred Suriya in a triple role - Athreya, Mani, and Sethuraman. Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Nithya Menen are paired opposite Suriya in the film. The music has been composed by A R Rahman.

The first spot was occupied by Amitabh Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu starrer Bollywood film Pink followed by Akshay Kumar's war rescue thriller Airlift and Shah Rukh Khan - Alia Bhatt starrer Dear Zindagi. Apart from Dear Zindagi, another two Alia Bhatt films, Udta Punjab and Kapoor & Sons have managed to enter among top 5 films in the list.
