Salman Khan and Ilayathalapathy Vijay are my favourite stars, says Allu Arjun
It is not news that Telugu star Allu Arjun enjoys an impressive fan following in Kerala. Arjun is one of the few non-Malayali actors to have garnered such a massive fan base.
Dubbed versions of most of his films manage to record decent openings at the Kerala Box Office. The Malayalam-dubbed version of his last offering, Yodhavu, minted over Rs 7 crore at the Kerala Box Office. Among his fans in Kerala, he is fondly known as Mallu Arjun.
Recently, at a launch event in Cochin, the Telugu actor revealed that he looked up to Salman Khan and Ilayathalapathy Vijay. The actor told a leading daily:
"Initially, I was a SRK fan. But it keeps changing by time. Off-late I have been seeing Salman Khan films and now he is my favourite Bollywood star. I'm also a fan of Ilayathalapathy Vijay as well. I have seen his films, Thuppakki and Kaththi. All his films have mass elements, which are very similar to my films and I love mass films".
On the work front, Allu Arjun has signed Hari Shankar's upcoming film, opposite Mohenjo Daro actress Pooja Hegde.
