Puthan Panam : Mammootty to speak Kasargode dialect in Ranjith film

Malayalam superstar Mammootty and director Ranjith are all set to entertain the audience with their upcoming film, Puthan Panam. The film, touted to be a thriller is a joint production by Ranjith, Abraham Mathew, and Arun Narayanan, under the banner Three Colour Cinema.

Reportedly, Puthan Panam depicts the story of black money in the backdrop of current financial scenario in India. Mamookka will be seen essaying the role of Nithyananda Shenoy, a middle-aged man who hails from Kumbala, Kasargode district from Kerala. The three-time National-award winner will be speaking the Kasargode dialect in Puthan Panam.

The leading heroine of Puthan Panam is yet-to-be-finalized. The film also marks the acting debut of Master Suraj. Puthan Panam also stars Renji Panicker, Mamukoya, Siddique, Saikumar, Hareesh Kanaran, Abu Salim, Iniya and Sheelu Abraham.

The music of Puthan Panam has been composed by singer-turned-composer Shahabaz Aman while cinematography by Om Prakash of Kaashmora fame. The film will be shot in the beautiful locales of Kasargode, Kochi, Rameshwaram and Goa.

Puthan Panam is expected to hit the screens on the auspicious occasion of Vishu 2017.
