Priyadarshan-Lissy's daughter Kalyani makes film industry debut with Vikram's Iru Mugan

Kalyani Priyadarshan, the daughter of veteran director Priyadarshan and former actress Lissy Lakshmi, is all set to make her debut in the film industry. Kalyani will be a part of upcoming Tamil magnum opus, Vikram-starrer Iru Mugan. The film stars Nayanthara and Nithya Menen as female leads. Interestingly, she will not be acting in the film; Kalyani will be the assistant art director of the film, directed by Anand Shankar.

On the morning of 8 August, Lissy took to her Facebook page to announce the news and shared a picture of her and Kalyani clicked during the launch of Iru Mugan's trailer.

Reportedly, Kalyani Priyadarshan does not plan to act in films. She recently finished her graduation from Parsons School Of Design, New York. Her younger brother, Siddharth Priyadarshan, is currently pursuing his higher studies in San Francisco and is also planning to enter the film industry as a director, like his father, Priyadarshan.

In December 2014, Priyadarshan and Lissy parted ways after 24 years together. Priyadarshan is currently living in Trivandrum while Lissy resides in Chennai.

Meanwhile, Iru Mugan, a sci-fi thriller, is slated to hit the screens on 2 September 2016.
