Bollywood films Wanted and Dabangg are considered as two of the landmark films of superstar Salman Khan's career. In fact, Wanted's success had come as a huge relief for Salman as the actor was going through a bad phase, with back-to-back flops. Between No Entry and Wanted, the Bollywood superstar had delivered 12 flops of 13 releases with only one hit, Partner. But Prabhu Deva's Wanted provided the much-needed success for Salman Khan by becoming the second biggest grosser of 2009 after Aamir Khan's 3 Idiots.

In a recent interview, Salman Khan's brother and producer of the Dabangg series Arbaaz Khan stated that he won't be directing the third installment of the blockbuster series. He also added that Prabhu Deva will direct the much awaited triquel of the Dabangg series.

"Prabhu Deva is directing Dabangg 3. We did meet recently, but all three of us are busy with our own careers. Salman is shooting for Race 3 and will have two films around the same time. We need some time to work on the script as well as the pre-production of the project. We are still ideating. Just because I am the producer of the film, it doesn’t mean that I won’t creatively contribute to the venture. Prabhudeva and I are on the same page. He is someone who is open to suggestions", Arbaaz Khan said.

And now, Prabhu Deva himself revealed an interesting statement on Dabangg 3.

The Rowdy Rathore director stated that Dabangg 3 will go on floors by the end of this year. He also added that Sonakshi Sinha will be seen portraying the female lead in Dabangg 3.

Though there were reports that Amy Jackson has been finalized as the leading lady of Dabangg 3, but as per the early reports, Sonkashi Sinha will reprise her role Rajjo in Dabangg 3 as well.
