Mohanam 2016: Malayalam industry felicitates Mohanlal for his 36-year-long successful career

On Monday evening, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal was honored in a mega event at Sarovaram Function Hall in Calicut. The star-studded event named 'Mohanam 2016' was conducted to celebrate the 36-year-long successful film career of Lalettan. The memorable night also saw the presence of the actor's friend and superstar Mammootty.

Veteran actor Madhu, Jayaram, Joy Mathew, Ranji Panicker, Biju Menon, Manju Warrier, Vineeth, Lal, Manoj K Jayan, Tiny Tom, Menaka Suresh, Geetha, Ambika, Surabhi, directors Priyadarshan, Kamal, Ranjith, Sibi Malayil, Shaji Kailas, Hariharan, Sathyan Anthikkad, Lal Jose, singers Rimi Tomy, Sithara, Vijay Yesudas and Baby Sreya Jayadeep were also present at the event.

In a career spanning over 36 years, Mohanlal has acted in more than 330 films. He holds the record of featuring in the maximum number of films and the maximum number of hits by a lead actor in a year. In 1986, 34 films of Mohanlal were released. Of these, 25 films were clean hits at the Box Office. Mohanlal has won four National awards, 17 Kerala state awards and 11 Filmfare awards.

During Mohanam 2016, Mohanlal was felicitated with a memento by Mammootty. The Kireedam actor expressed his happiness to be a part of the grand night and thanked Mammukka for being with him throughout his journey.
