Mathew Manjooran : Mohanlal's character in B Unnikrishnan's Villain revealed
The shoot for the second schedule of upcoming Mohanlal film, Villain has started on Friday. Directed by B Unnikrishnan and produced by Rockline Venkatesh, the action-thriller stars Manju Warrier playing Mohanlal's wife. Villain also marks the Malayalam debut of Telugu actress Raashi Khanna and Tamil stars Vishal and Hansika Motwani.
Earlier, Catch had reported that Mohanlal will be playing the character of an ex-cop in Villain.
New reports suggest that Lalettan will be seen as retired cop Mathew Manjooran in Villain. He is an intelligent police officer, but forced to quit his profession after an unexpected incident. The actor had undergone Ayurvedic treatment to look the part and is planning to shed more weight.
Villain marks the first Malayalam outing of Rockline Venkatesh, the maker of the 2015 Salman Khan blockbuster Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
