Mani Ratnam's Kaatru Veliyidai to release in March

The much-awaited Mani Ratnam film,

Kaatru Veliyidai

is slated to-be released soon. Written, produced and directed by Mani Ratnam himself, the film stars Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari as the main lead.The film will be dubbed in Telugu language as well titled,

Duet.

Earlier, there were reports that Kaatru Veliyidai is planning to be released in the month of January but now it might have been postponed to March.

Sri Thenandal Films, who acquired the Tamil distribution rights of the film took to their official Twitter page to confirm the release date.

Kaatru Veliyidai will see Karthi playing the role of an NRI pilot who falls in love with a doctor, played by Aditi Rao making her Kollywood debut with this film. Aditi's lead role was initially offered to Sai Pallavi, who made her acting debut last year with the Nivin Pauly-starrer Premam.

The film was recently in news when the Roja director returned to his lucky location, Kashmir, to shoot for the film - after a gap of 24 years. Kaatru Veliyidai also stars Delhi Ganesh, Vipin Sharma, Shraddha Srinath, RJ Balaji and KPAC Lalitha.
