Malaysia has proved to be a massive market for Tamil films. Most Tamil films enjoy wide releases in Malaysia - which also contributes vastly to the film's overseas collections.
Rajinikanth's recent blockbuster Kabali has become the all-time highest grossing Tamil film in Malaysia. The Pa Ranjith-directorial has reportedly made a whopping MYR 12,585,134 (Rs 20.78 crore) from the Malaysian Box Office.
With these collections, Rajinikanth has broken the record set by his 2010 film Enthiran at Malaysian Box Office. Interestingly, Sivaji, yet another Rajinikanth-starrer, holds the third spot in the list.
