After remaking the Malayalam hits like Drishyam, How Old Are You and Bangalore Days, another Malayalam film is set for a Tamil remake.

The next film to be remade in Tamil is the critically-acclaimed 2015 film Charlie - which starred Dulquer Salmaan, Parvathy, Aparna Gopinath and Nedumudi Venu.

The remake trend seems to be working. Papa Nasham (Drishyam), 36 Vayadhinile (How Old Are You) and Bangalore Naatkal (Bangalore Days) all did well at the Tamil Box Office.
