The first look of the much-awaited film, Majnu, is out today. The Telugu remake of the Malayalam blockbuster is directed by Chandoo Mondeti. The director's first film, Karthikeya, was a success in 2014. Majnu stars Naga Chaitanya, Shruti Haasan, Amyra Dastur and Anupama Parameshwaran.
Actor Naga Chaitanya, son of Telugu superstar Nagarjuna, will be seen in the role of Georje. Director Chandoo Mondeti is very confident that Naga Chaitanya will do full justice to his, which was brilliantly portrayed by Malayalam actor Nivin Pauly in the original. The role of Mary will be essayed by Malayalam actress Anupama Parameshwaran, who enacted the same in the original blockbuster.

The much spoken about role of 'Malar Miss' will be reprised by Shruti Haasan. It needs to be seen whether the actress can recreate Sai Pallavi's magic in the original, as the character was a huge craze among youngsters when the film released. Bollywood actress Amyra Dastur will reprise the character of Celine in Majnu. The original had the beautiful Madonna in the same role.

Veteran actors Nagarjuna and Venkatesh are appearing in a cameo in Majnu, produced by S Radhakrishna. The music is by Rajesh Murugeshan. According to early reports, Majnu is set to release in March 2016.
