Superstar Mahesh Babu's upcoming family drama, Brahmotsavam, which is nearing completion is slated for a worldwide release on 29 April 2016.
"The team is currently shooting the final schedule of the film. Two more songs have to be shot. Once all this is done, the next two months will be spent on post-production. The makers are planning to release the film on April 29," a source from the film's unit told IANS.
Incidentally, Mahesh Babu's Pokiri, which was remade in Bollywood as Wanted with Salman Khan too released on the same day in 2006 and the film went on to be a huge blockbuster.
Directed by Srikanth Addala, the film stars Pranitha Subhash, Kajal Aggarwal and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in important roles.
Produced by PVP Cinema, Brahmotsavam's music has been composed by Mickey J Meyer.
Mahesh, meanwhile, will start working on his next Tamil-Telugu yet-untitled bilingual with filmmaker AR Murugadoss. The movie will go on floors in April this year.
