Kerala Box Office: Rajinikanth's Kabali creates history, breaks all-time 1st week record collections of Vikram's I

After a record-breaking opening weekend in Kerala, Kabali has now emerged as the all-time highest opening week grosser ever at the Kerala Box Office.

The Thalaiva-starrer has broken the opening week record of Rs 12.5 crore set by Shankar-Vikram's I last year. Earlier Catch had reported that the PA Ranjith directorial had broken I opening weekend record by minting Rs 4.30 crore at the Kerala Box Office.

And now it has been confirmed that Kabali has recorded a whopping Rs 13.50 crore in its opening week to become the all-time highest opening week grosser in God's own country. The Tamil film also emerged as the fastest film to cross the Rs 1 crore mark alone at Cochin multiplexes.

However, the film has witnessed a significant drop in collections after a record-breaking Rs 10 crore plus opening weekend. Kabali has managed to cross more than Rs 3 crore each in its first three days, but Monday saw a reasonable drop by grossing just Rs 82 lakh at the Kerala Box Office. But good news for the Rajinikanth-starrer is that both Malayalam films which had released on Friday, Mammootty starrer White and Kismath met with below average reviews which will give Kabali another chance to dominate the second weekend at the Kerala Box Office.
