Mohanlal's Villain is a few hours away from its release, but the film is setting new records with each passing hour. After emerging the biggest Malayalam release and the top Malayalam film with maximum number of fans shows, the Mohanlal starrer is once again looking for another all-Kerala record.

While the opening shows of Villain is scheduled to begin at 8:00 AM, it has been confirmed that the Lalettan starrer is all set to have a whopping 1300 shows on Friday. It's indeed a remarkable feat considering that none of the Malayalam films have managed to cross 1000 shows on its opening day at the Kerala Box Office.

Directed by B Unnikrishnan and produced by Rockline Venkatesh, Villain stars an ensemble star cast including Manju Warrier, Vishal, Hansika, Raashi Khanna, Srikanth and Chemban Vinod Jose.
