Mohanlal starrer Pulimurugan, which released on 7 October 2016, is breaking records almost everyday.

Earlier, in an exclusive interview with Catch, the makers of Pulimurugan had confirmed that the Lalettan starrer has collected more than Rs. 13 crore on the opening weekend to become the all-time highest opener of Malayalam cinema.

And now, it has been confirmed that film has crossed the coveted Rs 20 crore mark within five days of its theatrical release. It has emerged as the fastest film ever to do so at the Kerala Box Office.

What's more? Pulimurugan has crossed the lifetime collections of all Tamil Blockbusters at Kerala Box Office including Rajinikanth's Kabali, Ilayathalapathy Vijay's Theri, and Vikram's I. The Dussehra-Vijayadashami holidays on Monday and Tuesday has worked well for the film, helping it record nearly 100% occupancy at the Box Office.

And as per early trends, Pulimurugan is doing phenomenal collections on Wednesday as well thanks to Muharram -partial holiday at some parts of the state.

Directed by Vysakh and produced by Tommy Mulakuppadam, the film stars Lalettan in the titular role of a hunter, Murugan. Made on a budget of Rs. 18 crore, Pulimurugan is the biggest Malayalam film till date.
