The much-awaited Malayalam film, Mohanlal starrer Pulimurugan has opened to a very good response at the Kerala Box Office. Directed by Vysakh and produced by Tommy Mulakuppadam, the film stars Lalettan in the titular role of a hunter, Murugan. Made on a budget of Rs. 18 crore, Pulimurugan is the biggest Malayalam film till date.
And as expected, the Mohanlal starrer set the Kerala Box Office on fire with nearly 100% occupancy across cinemas. The mass-masala entertainer clashed with four films including another superstar movie, Mammootty's Thoppil Joppan, but it has not stopped Pulimurugan from recording outstanding numbers on the opening day.
Pulimurugan has collected a terrific Rs. 4.10 crore on its opening day to become the all-time biggest Malayalam opener. What's more? The film has shattered the opening day records of Vikram's I and Vijay's Theri to become the second biggest opener after Rajinikanth's Kabali at the Kerala Box Office.
The film is sure to cross the magical figure of Rs. 10 crore by the end of the opening weekend.
