After the 2015 Christmas blockbuster, Two Countries, actor Dileep is back with his first release of 2016, King Liar. The much-awaited summer release hit the screens on 2 April. The Siddique-Lal film marks the return of the iconic director-writer duo after a 22-year-long gap.
According to initial reports, King Liar opened to a huge opening at the Kerala Box Office. Dileep's previous film, Two Countries, was also a terrific success at the ticket window. The return of Premam fame Madonna Sebastian has worked in favour of the film.
Going by the initial numbers and current craze, the film looks all set to cross the opening weekend numbers of the biggest Malayalam opener yet, last week's release Kali. The Dulquer Salmaan-starrer was released on 110 screens whereas King Liar has been released on 127 screens.

In King Liar, Dileep - who has always been a hit with family audiences - plays the role of Sathyanarayanan, a man who has been diagnosed with pseudologia fantastica, an affliction that makes him a compulsive liar. The film also marks the acting debut of former Miss India, Natasha Suri. King Liar also stars Asha Sarath, Lal, Joy Mathew, Balu Varghese and Jalian Kanaran.
Looks like the first summer blockbuster of Mollywood is here.
