Telugu director Koratala Siva is yet to finish the shooting of his multi-starrer Janatha Garage. But the film is already earning money for the producers.
The latest news doing rounds since Sunday is that the Karnataka distribution rights of Janatha Garage have been sold for a whopping Rs. 7 crore. The buzz around the film is increasing every day thanks to its stellar star cast. Janatha Garage features a formidable star cast including Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, Telugu superstar Jr NTR, Marathi actor Sachin Khedekar , Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Nithya Menen, Sai Kumar, and Devayani.
The film also marks the Tollywood debut of Unni Mukundan, the youth icon of Malayalam cinema who is basking in the success of his latest Malayalam release, Oru Murai Vanthu Paarthaya. The Mollywood actor is portraying the role of the main antagonist in the film.
The film also stars veteran Malayalam actor Rahman, who will play Mohanlal's brother. This is their first collaboration after a long gap of 30 years.
The movie is written by Koratala Siva and jointly produced by Naveen Yerneni, Y Ravi Shankar, and C V Mohan under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers.
Janatha Garage is slated to hit the screens on 12 August 2016.
