Janatha Garage: Mohanlal - Jr.NTR - Unni Mukundan starrer creates history, shatters Baahubali records in most Telugu circuits

The much-awaited Telugu film, Janatha Garage has opened to an earth-shattering response on the opening day. As expected, the Mohanlal - Jr.NTR - Unni Mukundan-starrer comfortably entered the the top 3 openers of Telugu film history. The Koratala Siva directorial has minted a whopping Rs 26.49 crore on its opening day.

Janatha Garage was unstoppable at most Telugu circuits, especially at Guntur, Krishna and East Godavari, where the film shattered the collections of all-time biggest Telugu blockbuster, Baahubali: The Beginning. However the delay in release and heavy rain in some parts of Andhra Pradesh worked against the film to surpass the second biggest opening numbers of Rs 26.9 crore set by Pawan Kalyan-starrer Sardar Gabbar Singh.

But the good news is that the reports of Janatha Garage are positive and all set to cross the Rs 50 crore mark on the opening weekend itself. The film has been praised for the performances of Mohanlal, Jr.NTR and the new Telugu 'Baby' Unni Mukundan, who has made a grand debut as the main antagonist of the film.
