Malayalam superstar Mohanlal has done it again! After overtaking the collections of Nivin Pauly's Premam and Prithviraj's Ennu Ninte Moideen, Pulimurugan has shattered the lifetime collections of his 2014 blockbuster and all-time top Malayalam grosser, Drishyam.

Earlier, in March, Catch had predicted that Pulimurugan is one of 2016's strongest contenders to surpass the lifetime collections of Drishyam.

The film, which had released on 7 October to a fantastic response, starred the four-time National award winner in the titular role of a hunter. It's worth mentioning that Pulimurugan took just 17 theatrical days to cross the lifetime collections of Rs. 42.50 crore set by Drishyam (100 + theatrical-days) at the Kerala Box Office.

By the end of the third weekend, Pulimurugan collected Rs. 45 crore at the Box office and will be crossing the historical club of Rs. 50 crore within the third week. The Vysakh directorial is also doing exceptionally well at ROI markets including Mumbai, Chennai, and Hyderabad.

Meanwhile, Lalettan's Onam blockbuster, Oppam, is nearing 50 days of theatrical run at the Kerala Box Office. The Priyadarshan directorial has so far collected Rs. 39 crore in Gods Own Country.
