Ilayathalapathy Vijay to star in India's most expensive film directed by Sundar C

Sri Thenandal Films, one of the leading production houses in India, has signed director-actor Sundar C to direct their 100th film. The makers also confirmed that the budget of their landmark film will be above Rs 350 crore and will surpass Shankar's upcoming film, Rajinikanth-Akshay Kumar starrer -- Enthiran 2to become the most expensive film to be made in India.

Earlier, Suriya's name was reported as the main lead of the upcoming historical fantasy film. However, the Ghajini actor squashed the reports stating that his upcoming film has been confirmed with director PA Ranjith, the director of Kabali.

And now the latest update is that the makers have roped in Ilayathalapathy Vijay as the leading man of the untitled film. The movie will also mark the first collaboration between Vijay and Sundar.

Meanhwile, the Theri actor will be celebrating his 42nd birthday on 22 June 2016. The superstar is currently busy with the Hyderabad schedule of his upcoming Diwali realease, Vijay 60.
