Shruti Haasan is currently going through a tough phase in her career. Her last four films including Bollywood films Rocky Handsome, Behen Hogi Teri and Telugu films Premam and Katamarayudu failed miserably at the box office. And in her recent Tamil release Singam 3 her character has been criticised as half baked and loud. And then she had to quit Sanghamitra, actor-turned-director Sundar's upcoming Rs. 300 crore project due to unrevealed reasons.

In a recent interview Shruti says she lost out on opportunities because of reasons beyond her control.

"Being a star daughter, my entry into the film world was easy compared to others. However, it was not easy for me to get my second film after the box office failure of my debut film. I had lost out on a few films that were meant for me, only because other actresses were hanging out with somebody. This is unfair", she said.

Meanwhile, the shooting of her film Sabaash Naidu is expected to be resumed soon. The film is directed and produced by her father and legendary actor Kamal Haasan. The film also stars Brahmanandam and Ramyakrishnan.
