Happy Birthday Prabhas: 8 interesting facts about the current sensation of Indian cinema

On his 38th birthday, here are 8 interesting facts about the Baahubali superstar:

1) The real name of Prabhas is Venkata Satyanarayana Prabhas Raju Uppalapati. He was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu as the youngest child of late film producer U Suryanarayana Raju and Siva Kumari. He is also the nephew of popular Tollywood actor, Rebel Star Krishnam Raju.

2) Prabhas did his schooling in DNR School at Bheemavaram and completed his BE Degree from Sri Chaitanya College, Hyderabad.

3) Prabhas' first blockbuster film Varsham was remade in Bollywood in 2016 as Baaghi featuring Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor. In 2014, he starred in Ajay Devgn, Prabhu Deva film Action Jackson. 

4) Hollywood actor Robert De Niro is Prabhas' favourite actor while Raj Kumar Hirani is his favourite Bollywood director. Recently, Prabhas had revealed that he had watched Hirani's films, Munna Bhai MBBS and 3 Idiots, almost 20 times. His favourite films are Geethanjali and Baktha Kannappa.

5) Prabhas is the first ever South Indian actor to have a wax statue at the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. During the filming of Baahubali 2, Prabhas turned down a Rs 5.5 crore endorsement deal in order to concentrate on his role in the film.

6) Prabhas is the fourth highest paid superstar in India after Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan. The actor's upcoming film Saaho is tipped to be the second costliest Telugu film after Baahubali 2. 

7) Prabhas is the only Indian actor to have a Rs. 500 crore grosser at the Bollywood Box Office and Rs. 1000 crore grosser at all-India level. He was also voted as the sexiest man alive along with Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh.

8) In a career spanning 14-years, Prabhas had won 4-Best actor awards. He was also awarded a gym equipment worth Rs 1.5 crore to prepare for his role in Baahubali series.
