CONFIRMED! Vidya Balan to make Telugu debut with Balayya in NTR's biopic​

It's known that veteran Telugu actor Nandamuri Balakrishna is portraying the lead role in the biopic of his father N.T. Rama Rao, late legendary actor and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. Directed by Teja, the film titled NTR has been jointly produced by Nandamuri Balakrishna, Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Sai Korrapati.

Earlier, names of several newcomers and established actresses including Nithya Menen were circulated to play the role of NTR's wife, Basavatarakam in the film. 

However, according to the latest Telugu media reports, the makers have roped in none other than top Bollywood actress Vidya Balan to essay the lead of Basavatarakam in NTR. It's a smart move from the makers as Vidya, hailing from South India can bring authenticity to Basavatarakam's role because of her natural looks. Also, she's known for her terrific performances in her films and can draw more Bollywood audience as well. 

NTR also marks Vidya Balan's Telugu acting debut as well.
