Cochin multiplexes : Prithviraj's Ezra unseats Mohanlal's Pulimurugan, but fails to beat Aamir Khan's Dangal

Fans of Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran have all the reasons to rejoice as the actor’s
recent release, Ezra is having a great run at the Kerala box office. The horror-thriller was jointly produced by A.V. Anoop, Mukesh R Mehta and C.V. Sarathy under their respective home banners AVA Productions and E4 Entertainment. Written and directed by Jay K, Ezra also marks the Malayalam debut of Tamil actress Priya Anand.
After becoming the second film with highest opening week collections after Mohanlal's Pulimurugan, the Prithviraj starrer has set an unique record at the Kerala Box Office on its second Friday. Ezra emerged as the fastest Rs. 1 crore Malayalam grosser at the Cochin multiplexes. Ezra has broken the record set by Pulimurugan to do so. However, Ezra is currently at third spot in the list of all-time fastest Rs. 1 crore grossers at the Cochin multiplexes. Aamir Khan's Dangal tops the list followed by Rajinikanth starrer Kabali.
Ezra also starred Tovino Thomas, Sudev Nair, Vijaya Raghavan, Ann Sheetal andMaheshinte Prathikaram fame Sujith Shanker.
