Rajinikanth-starrer Kabali has completed one week of its theatrical release, but the film is creating new records with each passing day. After minting more than Rs 6 crore on it's opening week in Chennai, the film showed its real strength in its second week as well. The Thalaiva-starrer was expected to slow down in its second weekend as the film had met with mixed Box Office reviews.
However, it stunned the entire Kollywood industry by recording more than Rs 2 crore in its second weekend at the Chennai Box Office. Kabali had registered an all-time record of 98% occupancy throughout the second weekend from 645 shows across 22 cinemas of Chennai.
