Reel life sage foretold in film: IAF Pilot Abhinandan's father and Mani Ratnam's film Kaatru Veliyidai has a connection with current situation
The whole nation is saddened with the news of IAF Pilot Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman got arrested by the Pakistan army after his aircraft accidentally fall down. Pakistan has released some videos of the wing commander that are being shown he is being treated in the rivalry country. Let us tell you one thing that Abhinandan Varthaman's father Singhkutti Varthaman was also a wing commander of IAF.
Varthaman's father worked with Mani Ratnam as the consultant for his film Kaatru Veliyidai and the story of the film revolved around how an IAF soldier got arrested in Pakistan during the 1999 Kargil war. In the film, it was shown how the IAF soldier was sent to Rawalpindi jail and spends his life there.
In this film of Mani Ratnam, Tamil actor Karthi and actress Aditi Rao Hydari played the leading roles, and Karthi played the role of IAF wing commander. Varthaman's father who retired as Air Marshell in Indian Air Force became a consultant for Mani Ratnam while making this film and he was seen during the promotions and release events with the team.
Let us tell you that the film won a national award for its music and AR Rahman got a national award for the best music. Even Shashaa Tirupati won national award for playback singer.
