2 States is considered as the biggest hit of Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor. The 2014 romantic drama, which was based on award winning novelist Chetan Bhagat's 2009 novel with the same title starred Alia Bhatt in the female lead role. 2 States also marked the directorial debut of Abhishek Varma and went on to become the first Rs. 100 crore grosser for Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
