Tollywood Box office: Sarrainodu becomes Allu Arjun's biggest opener, mints Rs 14.5 crore

Yesterday saw the release of Allu Arjun's action entertainer, Sarrainodu. Directed by Boyapati Srinu and produced by Allu Aravind, Sarrainodu is Allu Arjun's first release in 2016.

And as expected, Sarrainodu had a flying start at the Box Office and minted Rs 14.5 crore gross on its opening day with a distributor share of Rs 10.96 crore. It emerged as the biggest opener of Allu Arjun's career by surpassing the S/o Satyamurthy's record of Rs 9.27 crore. In the overseas market too, Sarrainodu had an impressive start at the ticket windows by raking in Rs 1.30 crore from US Thursday previews.

Allu Arjun's huge fan base and super hit music by S Thaman has worked for the film. It witnessed good collections in single screens and is beginning to draw the audience in multiplexes as well. The film garnered positive reviews and as per early reports, it is holding well on Saturday shows.

Sarrainodu 

is Allu Arjun's 20th film and features Rakul Preet Singh and Catherine Tessa as well. Srikanth and Rahul Verma are playing strong supporting roles while Aadhi is the antagonist in the film.
