After Thuppakki and Kaththi, Ilayathalapathy Vijay, AR Murugadoss to team up for ​Vijay 62

Af​ter the blockbuster success of ​Thuppakki and Kaththi, Tamil superstar Ilayathalapathy Vijay and director​AR Murugadoss are all set to team up for a new film, tentatively titled Vijay 6​2​. The film, an action thriller, is ​the 62nd film of Vijay's acting career. The film, which marks the third collaboration of Vijay - Murugadoss duo will be bankrolled by Lyca Productions. Interestingly, the duo's previous release, Kaththi was the first Tamil outing of Lyca Productions.​

AR Murugadoss, who is currently filming the Mahesh Babu flick in Mumbai is expected to wrap up the film by the end of January 2017. Earlier, in an interview to Catch, Murugadoss had revealed that the Mahesh Babu film will hit the screens on April 2017.

Meanwhile, the shooting of Vijay 61 is scheduled to begin from February 2017. The film, which marks the second collaboration of Vijay and Atlee after Theri stars Kajal Aggarwal as one of the leading heroines of the film. The second heroine of the thriller is expected to be announced within few days.
